iTablet, the iPad Substitute

iTab – Technology in Reckoning

The concept of technology in reckoning is about five centuries old. Dead reckoning is a figurative phrase and has uncertain origin. In the original form of dead reckoning, on the mariner’s chart incremental excursions used to be plotted. For distances there was made the use of dividers and compass was used for directions. The changes in the satellite position are precise even with their dislocation.
Even if one constellation is used the changes of one second interval in the carrier phase provide great benefits. With the formation of 1 second change the carrier phases become highly ambiguous that means that the integers remain unknown and they cancel in the process of forming sequential differences. The discontinuities can be tolerated and a reappearing signal is acceptable, if two successive phases differ by the amount satisfying the single measurements RAIM tests. One other benefit is very significant and it is that acceptability of the sub mask carrier phase changes.
The reckoning technology without the international measurement unit was verified in the flight and it produced decimetre per second errors of RMS velocity outside the turn transients. All of the 1 second phase increments were zero or one centimetre at that time for the seven satellites. Almost over an hour flight at an altitude the centimetre per second RMS velocity accuracy was obtained.
